Obesity Coaching For Adults

About Me

I’ve lived in a body the world has often judged, misunderstood, and tried to fix.

From childhood bullying to extreme dieting as a teenager, I know what it feels like to grow up believing your body is a problem — something to control, shrink, or conquer. I also know how deeply isolating that experience can be, especially when self-worth becomes tangled up in numbers, rules, and expectations that never seem to work for long.

A turning point in my journey came when a nurse once asked me a simple question:
“How long have you lived in your body?”

It stopped me in my tracks. It was a reminder that no one knows your body like you do — and that your lived experience matters.

Later, a physician asked another unexpected question:
“How much do you want to weigh? At what weight do you feel most comfortable?”

Those moments shifted my focus away from chasing a number and toward comfort, trust, and quality of life.

My journey has included bariatric surgery, and like many people discover, it wasn’t a magic fix. What it did offer was insight — into just how complex obesity truly is. Genetics, environment, habits, mindset, stress, and lived experience all interact in powerful ways. No single tool tells the whole story.

That understanding is at the heart of my work today.

My Approach

As an obesity and wellness coach, I am not opposed to bariatric surgery or GLP-1 medications. For many people, these tools are appropriate, supportive, and sometimes life-changing. I also don’t replace medical care. I believe health works best as a team effort, alongside primary care providers, specialists, and other professionals you already trust.

My role focuses on the parts of the journey that often go unaddressed:

  • rebuilding trust with your body
  • healing your relationship with food and self
  • developing sustainable, supportive habits
  • navigating identity, mindset, and self-compassion
  • honoring the whole person — mind, body, and spirit

My work is informed by Health at Every Size® principles and grounded in a Mind–Body–Spirit philosophy. I believe true well-being doesn’t come from fighting your body into submission — it comes from learning how to live with it, care for it, and listen to it.

There is no one “right” path to health. There is only your path — and it deserves respect, curiosity, and compassion.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve done everything “right” and still been made to feel like you failed, I want you to know this:

You are not broken.
You are not weak.
And you are not alone.

My Mission is to support people living with obesity with compassion, guidance, and empowerment — helping you reconnect with your body, strengthen your mindset, and create a life that feels whole, grounded, and authentically yours.

I’m honored to walk alongside you — as part of your team — every step of the way.
